I know you have been away from the site for a long, long time; and I haven’t posted anything in a long, long time either. However, from some of the emails you are sending out, it sounds like you are back on here, and when I saw this post, I was curious why there were not a dozen or more comments from subs/slaves letting you know what they could offer you to be your slave. At any rate, in your css files, search for “#comment-textarea textarea” You will see that the attributes which are set for background-color and also for color (which is the text color) are both using the same color. The color is white, or #fff. The current conflicting styles are: color: var(–form_text_color); and background-color: var(–form_bg_color). This is probably based on a default setting in the Avada theme you are using. I would recommend using the free WordPress plugin Simple CSS for situations like this, or to customize css elements as needed. For example if you want to leave the background white, you could simply change the the font color attribute to color: #000; and that would change the font color to black. Then, visitors would be able to type in comments and see them as they type. I did not look at your css code enough to determine if there are different settings for this element, based on screen or viewport size. In other words, in the event your css files use media queries, you might need to edit the font color attribute in more than one location in your css file.
