The ex-policeman has been sharing his thoughts and experiences over at Journey of a Swingle Guy. He entered the lifestyle as a newly divorced single man and has had many enriching experiences. Which has led him to start publishing on a platform like this. Over the course of our friendship we have ihad many conversations about the place and attitudes of men in the lifestyle both coupled and single. Of late our conversations have included discussions about the level of effort that some men seem to think is appropriate when they are either trying to get into or participate in the lifestyle.

As I have indicated in an earlier post on a similar topic (this may have triggered a blog post conversation, sorrynotsorry!) mens clothing consists of trousers and pants worn in an infinite variety. There are versions of this that convey style and confidence and versions that convey a complete lack of regard for their own appearance and what others think of them. In his reflections about male dress sense TEP (The Ex-Policeman) observed that ladies have a lot more options to express themselves in terms of lingerie or “sexy dressing” than men. If you keep the narrow definition of lingerie as the lacy, very feminine garments that traditionally serve as lingerie he is correct. However, as I have learned during my time with Mr Jones, there are many types of clothing that can be worn certain ways that are very enticing.

My experiences during Pineapple camping have showed me that men have a wide variety of lingerie options as long as they are a bit more open minded and are prepared to put in some effort to find clothing that suits their body makes them feel sexy. Over the course of a weekend I will observe a very wide variety of what would pass for men’s lingerie. Some men get regular trunks with cheeky patterns. Others go for something a bit more cheeky like this jock from Aussiebums

Of course this is not the end of the possibilities. A couple of years ago Mr Jones discovered the freedom of wearing a skirt. He has encouraged a couple of our friends to also go down that road and is a bit of a trendsetter in that area. What some people find surprising is that a lot of ladies find this look very attractive.

Other Pineapple campers have found all manner of things to wear including a wide variety of mesh or sheer shirts of varying lengths, different versions of a mankini or out and out cross dressing corset.

So do clothes maketh the man? In the same way that they maketh the woman I would have to say yes. Clothing puts out a sense of who you are and what you are comfortable with. It can make you feel confident or the exact opposite. Personal style is important. Putting effort into looking nice makes you interesting to other people. In this lifestyle that is even more important. Women don’t need to take one for the team or to settle with a choice from a sub-par selection. There are plenty of vibrators out there that can do the job. We don’t need to fuck a smelly, badly groomed, badly dressed man.

Effort equals results.
