Weirdly, I fucking love this ad: Doing anything but lying in a sad little heap cuddling a heating pad and grimly swallowing painkillers while you’re on your period is pretty fucking badass and people who menstruate deserve more credit for that. So I’ve mentioned I’m a terrible fucking nerd, right? Okay, with that out of the way, sometimes I really miss Azeroth. Back in the day (not so long before the Lich King expansion came out) I used to raid regularly with some former coworkers. One of my favourite cocktails is the Vieux Mot. You may need to fiddle with the proportions from that recipe a bit, that much simple syrup and elderflower liquer makes for a very sweet drink. I like mine a bit tart, if it’s too sweet it just tastes sticky to me. I also love bourbon (or whisky!) sours, more so the way my husband makes them. He uses honey syrup instead of regular simple syrup, which I think is tastier.
